Visitor guide

A visitor guide accompanies your audience with information about exhibitions and works. Depending on the features your institution has, the audience can also ask questions. The answers then come as text or spoken.

Prepare a guide

  1. Open Channels → New channel and choose Visitor guide. Enter a name and audience and create the channel.
  2. Under Content, choose the sources, for example one or more exhibitions. Check the works and media they contain.
  3. Under Field settings, choose which information is shown. For an exhibition, you can also decide which showings appear.
  4. Under Presentation, add the public title, the introduction, the languages and the views.
  5. If needed, write a welcome message and save the draft.

Prepare with the Assistant

Give the Assistant the exhibition concept and the links to the records, and write for example:

Write a short welcome message for the visitor guide to this exhibition. Suggest three questions visitors might ask about the works.

Review the text and copy it into the guide. The guide is set up and published in the channel.

Review the tour

  1. Open Review & publish → Preview draft. Check the introduction, works, images and languages.
  2. If the conversation is turned on, ask questions the way visitors would. Compare the answers with the sources.
  3. Check the audience under Publication and select Publish. Then open View published. You find the link for visitors under Addresses.

Information from the selected records can appear in the guide immediately. If you change the channel settings, the change is visible only after you publish the guide again. What applies to all channels is described under Channels.
