Online collection
With an online collection, you show selected objects and information from your institution in the browser.
Prepare the collection
- Open Channels → New channel and choose Online collection. Enter a name and audience and create the channel.
- Under Content, choose the sources: the entire object holdings or specific collections, exhibitions and shared lists.
- Open a source and exclude objects you don't want to show.
- Under Field settings, decide which information appears. Look closely at "Object data", "Collection management" and "Connections" in particular.
- Under Presentation, add the public title, the introduction and the display options. Save the draft.
The Assistant can add information to the objects or write an introduction. You decide yourself in the channel which objects appear and when the collection is published.
Review and publish
- Open Review & publish → Preview draft. Check the image, text and information on a few object pages.
- Check the audience under Publication and select Publish.
- Open View published. You find the link to share under Addresses.
Keep it up to date
If you correct approved information on an object, the correction can be visible immediately. If you selected the entire holdings, new objects can also appear, provided they may be shown. If you change the selection or the presentation, save the draft and publish the collection again. How to set access or unpublish the collection is described under Channels.
